China’s foreign minister will fly to the US for a Security Council meeting on Israel-Hamas conflict

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi will go to New York on November 29 to chair a Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas conflict, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.

“China hopes that by hosting this meeting, we can contribute to the realisation of a cease-fire,” said spokeswoman Wang Wenbin during a regular news briefing.
